🐝🐝We've been making extended trips to South Carolina to begin nucs. 🌷🌷The recipe for a nuc box: 2 frames of 🐝bees, eggs and larvae + 1 frame of honey + 1 frame of foundation, so they have something to build on. Add grafted queen cell. The queen will emerge from the capped queen cell their new queen, if all goes well. Sometimes they create their own queen if they don’t like the one we’ve given them. In 3-4 weeks, they’ll be ready for a full sized home, a 10-frame hive.🌸
