March finds our honey bees waking up in the warmer southern climate of South Carolina. Worker bees are already bringing in pollen in preparation for feeding large amounts of larvae. Those bees that made it through the winter will expire and be replaced by the summer bees. The hive is ramping up, building up the workforce.
