As the temps in October stayed warm, the bees continued to seek out food sources rather than begin to hibernate. If they find a weaker hive that can't defend their food source, they will rob it of honey, resulting in a fight that may end with survival of the fittest. This robbing occurs even when their hive has plenty of food stores.
