September is bringing with it heat and lack of rain, so the honey bees are struggling to find water. This girl is finding water that collected in our plant tray. We've moved many of our bees north to New York where they can find food and water more readily, for now at least.
We monitor the weather and regularly check on them to be sure they're getting what they need.
